Our Approaches to Wellness.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on helping individuals accept difficult thoughts and feelings, while also committing to taking meaningful action towards their values and goals. ACT aims to help individuals develop psychological flexibility, which can improve overall wellbeing and quality of life.

ACT has been used to treat a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse, chronic pain, and more. It can also be helpful for individuals who are looking to improve their overall psychological functioning and performance, such as athletes, artists, and executives. By learning to accept and work with difficult thoughts and feelings, individuals can become more resilient and better able to navigate the challenges of life.

  • Liberation Psychology

Liberation Psychology is an approach to therapy that seeks to address not just individual symptoms, but also the systemic issues that contribute to mental health struggles. By understanding the social, political, and economic factors that impact people's lives, Liberation Psychology aims to empower individuals and communities to create meaningful change in their own lives and in the world around them. This approach can be especially effective in treating issues related to oppression, discrimination, and inequality, and in helping people to heal from trauma related to these experiences. If you are seeking therapy that takes a holistic approach to your mental health and well-being, Liberation Psychology may be a great fit for you.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of psychotherapy that is designed to help individuals manage intense emotions and develop coping skills. DBT has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and substance use disorders. DBT focuses on teaching individuals how to regulate their emotions, improve their interpersonal relationships, and tolerate distressing situations. This is accomplished through a combination of individual therapy sessions, group therapy, and skills training. If you're struggling with emotional dysregulation, interpersonal problems, or other mental health issues, DBT may be an effective treatment option for you.

  • Mindfulness Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Treatment (MBT) is a type of therapy that combines mindfulness practices with traditional psychotherapy techniques. It is based on the idea that by being fully present and non-judgmental, one can develop a deeper understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. MBT has been shown to be effective in treating a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, stress, and addiction. It can also help individuals improve their overall well-being and quality of life. Through MBT, individuals can learn to cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness, develop coping strategies, and enhance their ability to regulate their emotions.
